Every discipline is faced with wicked problems -- whether its climate change, terrorism, healthcare, income inequality, access to education, etc. Often, the key to solving these wicked problems is an intimate understanding of the user -- the individual or community impacted by the problem. We are launching the inaugural Design + Business Conference to equip you with critical human-centered design tools and techniques to gain the empathy to understand your stakeholders, and thus, solve these wicked problems.
Design + Business invites you to participate in a design mission, where you will experiment with human-centered design tools. These Design Missions include:
In addition to these exciting design missions, you will hear from two inspiring speakers. Jeffrey Sanchez-Burks, Management Professor at the Ross School of Business, will share his insights on how individuals can bring fresh ideas to a team.
Additionally, Marcus Collins, Head of Social Engagement at Translation LLC, will give a keynote on Creating Cultural Contagion. He will describe his insights from “The Contagion Cookbook" which looks at the way seemingly organic cultural norms can be fabricated by the savvy content creator, and offers a framework for driving behavioral adoption on a mass scale.
Can't wait to see you there!
