Finding A Team Or Joining A Start-Up Team
If you are looking to join or form a team, the following resources are available to you:
Mingle and Match Events: these are coordinated networking events that connect entrepreneurs with talent.

- Ann Arbor Spark Mingle and Match: off campus, organized by local economic development agency, every month. Sign-up for Spark Events newsletter here.
- Ann Arbor NewTech Meetup: every month 5 local start-ups present their business ideas followed by networking. The start-ups are often, but not always, looking for team members. Learn more at http://www.a2newtech.org/
Business Plan Competitions
At Ross, the business plan circuit starts in the fall with the Dare to Dream Grant process that then feeds into the Michigan Business Challenge where over 80 U of M teams compete for cash prizes and glory in an intense multi-stage competition. Participating on a business plan team in the Michigan Business Challenge or Dare to Dream Grant program is one of the best opportunities on campus.
For those interested, there are an incredible amount of external and intercollegiate business plan competitions available for test your mettle and pick up some cash. Some competitions are invite-only (which means ZLI must select you). However, if selected, ZLI will often to pay for a portion or all of your team's travel expenses.
