RNI is a network of University of Michigan graduate students, alumni and professionals who use the power of business to improve society and the environment.
With more than 350 members, we thrive on multidisciplinary collaboration. We offer a big tent and welcome members and ideas from all UM graduate schools. RNI seeks partnerships with student organizations and companies -- from any industry or sector -- that want to support thriving communities. We provide a creative environment for those who want to build what “can be” into what is.
RNI Mission
To connect students with the resources and opportunities to build skills to make an impact, regardless of industry, seniority or function. Our three areas of focus are organizational change, essential to making an impact in any environment, and social enterprise and sustainability, the two areas where impact-related initiatives are most commonly directed.
Goal
To add value to students’ professional development by offering a balanced mix of professional content across our three areas of interest while staying relevant to student interests and needs and keeping up with industry trends. Our new emphasis on collaboration with both like-minded impact-focused organizations and traditional industry-focused clubs promises an exciting year with speakers, professional development content, and skill-building workshops that show students opportunities for creating impact or change in traditional careers, connect them with people who have successfully created such impactful careers, and equip them with the tools and skills necessary to make an impact in their workplaces and communities.
