Spend Valentine's Day spreading cheer and joy by volunteering with Net Impact at Food Gatherers!
Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community. Established in 1988 as Michigan’s first food rescue program, Food Gatherers is also Michigan’s first program of its kind to be founded by a for-profit business, Zingerman’s Delicatessen.
Volunteers generally help sort food (such as produce), stock the pantry with canned goods, repackage bulk items, help them salvage/wash damaged products (such as a case of juice boxes with one that is leaking), and work with Food Gatherers to keep the warehouse and trucks clean and food-safe.
Please wear close-toed shoes and be ready to work! We will also work to arrange some carpooling closer to the event to make sure everyone can get there.
