Mission To help students succeed in the Food, Beverage and Agribusiness industries from a business perspective while providing a social framework to the entire Ross community for discussion of various topics related to food production worldwide.
Membership BenefitsThree major pillars will compose the foundations of the club's objectives: 1. RecruitingThe FB&A Club aims to facilitate contact between companies and the Ross Community, especially those students seeking job opportunities in the Food, Beverage and Agribusiness industries. Students will form connections with companies interested in on-campus recruiting. In addition, the Club will support students in the recruiting process, providing assistance related to resume creation, mock interviews, and improving industry knowledge (see Education session below).As part of the network with the industry, the club will seek close relationship with Ross alumni working in the field who can further help the club make connections across the sector and create beneficial partnerships. Indeed, the FB&A Club desires to be a positive difference on this important step, working to improve the information available to students and expanding their networks within the industry.Potential activities:ÔùÅ Network sections and corporate presentations;ÔùÅ Tailor your resume to the industry;ÔùÅ Mock interviews;ÔùÅ Case competitions;ÔùÅ MBA2 connections;ÔùÅ Interaction with alumni working in the industry.2. EducationThe FB&A Club fosters learning at the Ross School of Business about various aspects of the food industry's value chain, with topics ranging from mining and farm inputs, primary production, food processing to food retail. In the various proposed activities, students are able to observe the changes in consumption behavior that has been driving the entire industry. By encompassing business, economic, political, environmental and social issues related to this complex industry, the club aims to provide inspiration and insights into today's global agribusiness marketplace to students, who will be better to succeed in the world's most important sector. In the various proposed events, the club seeks the participation of keynote speakers from the industry and academia.Potential Activities• Seminars;• Workshops;• Field trips;• Social events;• Bi-monthly Student newsletters;3. Net ImpactThe FB&A club provides a network for Students and other members from the Ross community who seek the power of business to improve global food production and diminish malnutrition worldwide. The club facilitates the debate that drive positive social and environmental change in the most ancient industry. Through a holistic discussion of topics such as environmental sustainability, food safety and security, animal welfare, and many others, the club explores the industry's leadership and best practices. Potential Activities• Work closely with the education pillar, promoting net Impact-related events;• Work closely with other Impact Clubs and Organization in Ross, providing them the expertise and available resources FBA has in the sector.
