Overnight Camping in Pinckney Recreation Area

ROC's fall trip to Pickney: tons of fun! We will be camping in the Crooked Lake campground. We have campsites reserved (sites 14, 15, 16, 17, and 21), and ROC will provide snacks and dinner for Thursday and breakfast Friday AM. More details to follow.

- Camping stoves and firewood included
- S'mores!!!
- Close enough to be back to Ross for Friday morning classes and events!
We will set up a Google doc to coordinate rides, arrival, etc

Logistics:
- Rustic drive-in campground
- Rides will be provided from Ross, beginning at 4PM
- ROC will coordinate tent sharing, etc.
- Food and camping stove will be provided (but feel free to bring your own goodies)
- Firewood and smores will be provided.

BYO tent and sleeping bag, but please get in touch with us if you're in need of something - we will coordinate those in need and those who have extras to lend. UMich Outdoor Adventures and Bivouac both are great places to rent (and Bivouac will provide a discount if you mention you are part of Ross Outdoor Club, rentals of sleeping bags/pads should be $4)

Itinerary:
Thursday Evening:
5:00 PM - Arrive at Crooked Lake Campground
6:30 PM - Dinner and free time, campfire, etc.
Friday Morning:
8:00 AM - Breakfast
Optional: Hike 5.1 Mile loop around Crooked Lake (can also choose to run this, as it is relatively flat, or sleep in)
10:30 AM - Pack up and head out
