Amazon Fulfillment Center Tour

Sad because you didn't get to visit Amazon for the Seattle Trek? The Tech Club and OMC have organized a tour to the DET1 Fulfillment Center near Ann Arbor!

DET1 is a 1 million square feet fulfillment center with approximately 1,000 employees that is mostly a non-sort (large item), non-robotics site. We will tour the installations and talk to a few Amazonians. Proposed agenda below.

Friday, January 18th:
9:25am – Meetup at Ross
9:30am - 10:30am – Transportation to DET1 FC (buses provided)
10:30am -11:00am – Arrival process in through security / Introduction
11:00am -12:15pm – Building Tour
12:15pm -1:00pm – Lunch (Q&A with GM and/or senior ops during lunch, lunch will be provided by Amazon)
1:00pm -1:30pm – Process through security
1:30pm - 2:30pm – Transportation back to Ross

In order to secure your spot, you must register and complete a $10 payment here by Monday, December 31st at 11:59 PM EST. There are 43 spots available for Tech Club members. If more than 43 people sign up, we will have a random lottery and people that do not get selected will be reimbursed.
