To kickoff the fall, the Healthcare and Life Sciences Club will be hosting a “Healthcare Bootcamp”. It’s a great opportunity for both those that want to learn more about the healthcare industry, or who have healthcare experience and want to hear from experts in their field.

Mission

The Healthcare and Life Science (HLS) Club at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan is dedicated to preparing members for successful careers across all sectors of healthcare. The HLS Club is comprised of over 100 students ready to take on leadership roles in this multi-disciplinary industry and make a significant impact worldwide.

Objectives

The Healthcare Bootcamp serves as an introduction to the various industries within healthcare and provides full-time MBA students with a healthcare 101 session prior to the start of the recruiting season. This event is open to all interested graduate students. This is an annual educational session for HLS members.

Agenda
Every year, depending on expectations from students, we update the contents so that the event best meets students' needs. The topics covered last year were:
  • Payer
  • Provider
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Global Health
  • Biotech/Device
  • Healthcare opportunities at Ross (Classes and healthcare concentration)
  • Happy hour with fellow HLS MBA2s!
