Mission Out for Business strives to accomplish three goals: to build community among the queer members of the Ross community, to provide professional development resources for our membership, and to raise awareness among all Ross faculty, staff, and students of the issues facing queer individuals in society.
Membership BenefitsThroughout the year, we plan a variety of events designed to connect queer students at Ross with each other and the broader University of Michigan community, improve visibility of queer issues and facilitate the career development and recruiting process for our members. Our activities are centered around the following major themes:Career Development: We work with a wide variety of firms to facilitate the recruiting process for LGBT students at Ross.Education & Visibility: We partner with other campus organizations to encourage dialogue about the unique issues facing queer people in the workplace and in society.Social: We provide opportunities for socializing among our members and with the greater University of Michigan community.
Membership is open to all Ross graduate students who are interested in LGBTQ+ issues. We count among our members day MBAs, evening MBAs, MAccs and PhD students.Full Membership: Includes professional development activities (resume reviews, mock interviews, career guidance), regular club communications, LGBTQ+ social events, LGBTQ+ recruitment notices, club leadership opportunities.Ally Membership: Show your support for the LGBTQ+ community at Ross. Receive notices of general social events, special ally activities, diversity panel discussions and diversity outreach opportunities.
