Out Week Presents: OUTx

Out Week 2023 is celebrating all aspects of LGBTQ+ identity across a diverse range of community perspectives and backgrounds. Join Out for Business for their headliner event, OUTX.

The theme for this year's OUTx event is (Fluid/Identity). Hear from four current Ross MBA students as they share their experiences.

The (Fluid/Identity) theme and typeface specifically is meant to evoke the use of pronouns in Zoom and classroom introductions; it was something past students fought for at Ross and is an example of how we as a community have expanded representations of identity in professional contexts.

This year, we are closing with keynote speaker, Andrea James, a trailblazer in the trans community. Andrea is a filmmaker, consumer activist and brand consultant whose work was archived by the Library of Congress in 2021.

She produced and appeared in the first all-transgender Vagina Monologues. Other film and television projects include the feature Transamerica, the dating show Transamerican Love Story, the children's film Family Restaurant, the Showtime concert film Alec Mapa: Baby Daddy, the FUSE docu-series Transcendent, and NatGeo's Gender Revolution. She recently produced and directed the talk show Conversations with Coco, helped shape the documentary Whirlybird (Sundance 2020), and produced and directed Becoming a Man in 127 EASY Steps (Tribeca 2020).
