On behalf of the Black Business Students Association (BBSA) at the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business, it is our pleasure to invite you to the 44th Annual Alfred L. Edwards (ALE) Conference and Celebration, from Friday, February 7th – Saturday, February 8th, 2020 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This year's theme is Sankofa: Go Back and Get It; The importance of reaching back as you climb.

The ALE Conference is the longest-running conference at the Ross School of Business. In its 44 years of existence, the conference has engaged attendees around the issues, challenges, and opportunities encountered by underrepresented minorities in the business world. It has historically attracted hundreds of attendees from around the country, including current and prospective students, Ross alumni, industry leaders, and corporate recruiters.

The conference is named in honor of Dr. Alfred L. Edwards, an esteemed professor at the University of Michigan and a mentor to many underrepresented minority students on campus. Dr. Edwards once said, "We must make sure that the doors that were opened for us, do not become closed for others." It is in this spirit that we gather as a community for this 44-year tradition.

Check out the BBSA Website for More Information.
All student registrants must be 21 years or older to attend the Conference's ALE Mixer and Closing Gala, where alcohol will be served.
