Colonel J. William ÔÇ£BillÔÇØ DeMarco, Retired United States Air Force served as the Chief of Staff of Air University, Commandant of the Air Command and Staff College, Vice Commandant Officer Training School, and Southeast Region Commander, AFROTC. The Staff College is the worldÔÇÖs premier in-residence and distance learning professional military education college for midcareer officers and civilians, which focuses on the development of leaders. Colonel DeMarco holds three masters degrees, and has served as a National Security Affairs Fellow at the Hoover Institution on War, Peace, and Revolution at Stanford University.
BillÔÇÖs career focus has been in service to his nation and to others. Colonel DeMarco has commanded flight crews, squadrons, and operations groups in combat ÔÇô deploying a myriad of times in support of almost every conflict and humanitarian effort since the 1991 Gulf War. He has worked in the Pentagon, on the Joint Staff in Strategic Plans focusing on inter-agency collaboration, specifically working with the U.S. Department of State, the US Agency for International Development, and a myriad of Humanitarian NGOs.
