OUR MISSION

The Entertainment & Digital Media Club is a networking and professional development group focused on supporting classmates who are interested in pursuing a role in Entertainment.

Support is provided by fostering a helpful community of Entertainment-driven professionals, as well as equipping club members with the skills necessary to pursue business careers in Film & Television, Broadcast & Online Media, Publishing, Music, and Gaming.

Support Your Recruiting Journey

We review resume and cover letters for members interested in pursuing Entertainment. We also conduct mock interviews to maximize preparation.

Help Build Your Network

We organize career panels and coffee chats with current students, alumni, and thought leaders in the Entertainment space. We also facilitate networking events with Entertainment-minded business school students at other MBA programs.

Foster connection

We organize social events for club members such as happy hours and private movie screenings in order to create opportunities to bond and foster community.

Anita
Wright

Co-President

Anita is a creative marketing manager passionate about inclusive storytelling, and fluent in telling compelling product stories that resonate with target audiences. Prior to Ross, Anita worked at PBS NewsHour and National Geographic in a Marketing and Strategy role. This summer, she interned at WarnerMedia as part of the Distribution team.

Justin
Rufen-Blanchette

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Justin graduated from Kennesaw State University, majoring in Sports Management. Justin has extensive experience in strategic partnerships, advertising operations, and business development within the sports, media, and entertainment industries. Prior to Ross, Justin was leading business development for a tech startup in the digital media space. While at Ross, Justin is interning with Republic, a non-traditional venture capital firm, and Overtime, a sports media company. He spent his summer at Nike, Global Strategy and Tech.

Andrew
Ojeda

Originally from New Jersey, Andrew attended undergrad at The College of William and Mary and received his Master of Arts from NYU. During his academic studies Andrew focused on African-American history and culture in the media. After earning both degrees, Andrew transitioned to FinTech working primarily in Sales and Marketing. These transformative experiences led him to eventually pursue an MBA at University of Michigan, so that he could further pursue a career in Marketing and explore his passion for Entertainment and Digital Media.

Abrams

Alex is a sales, marketing, and strategy professional who loves developing relationships with people and helping them solve their complex business challenges in a dynamic, ever-changing business world. Prior to Ross, he worked in Sales/Marketing and Customer Success roles at SSB, a data analytics company that worked with over 100 of the largest sports and entertainment brands in the world. He plans to return to a company at the cross-section of tech/innovation and the sports and entertainment industry after his time in Ann Arbor.

Nathan
Alston

Nathan is an arts producer currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, Nathan graduated with honors from the College of William and Mary. Following graduation, Nathan interned with Round House Theatre as a Teaching Artist. His work then took him to Signature Theatre where he worked various marketing and fundraising roles. In September 2017, he began work as Special Assistant to the President at Washington Performing Arts where he worked under President/CEO Jenny Bilfield. During this time he led WPA equity initiatives in order to build a more diverse classical music community. Independently, Nathan is currently building Plucky Comics, a series of online comics dedicated to telling the stories of Black Queer historical figures. He is currently an MBA student at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Alexia
Sabogal

Born and raised in New York City, Alexia graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016. Initially, on the pre-law track, Alexia was always interested in the marketing world, so she interned at Bloomberg Media in the Ad Sales & Operations department during her senior year. After graduating, Alexia landed an offer from Major League Soccer (MLS) where she worked for the past 3.5 years, most recently as Senior Coordinator of the Brand Alliances (formerly Business Development). A soccer fan, and overall sports lover, Alexia learned more about sports business and marketing during her time at MLS. After business school, Alexia looks to work in tech to leverage that skillset and bring it back to sports, sitting at the intersection of sports and tech - an area that is emerging in importance and popularity.

Stephen is passionate about the intersection of entertainment, sports, and technology. Prior to Ross, Stephen worked for the Minnesota Vikings NFL team in a Brand Partnerships and Analytics role. In the summer, he worked at Google on the Google Play Partnerships team.
