Hello EVC members! It was great to see so many of you pitching and mingling at ZLI's Mingle 'n' Match last Tuesday and entrepaloozaing on Friday. There was a great turnout for Entrepalooza and we wish everyone at Ross could have caught Jerry Greenfield's excellent keynote about combining entrepreneurship and impact (and the free Ben & Jerry's ice cream after!). The EVC Board is bringing on 5 new Director-level board members. These positions have historically been held by first year MBA students but we are open to all programs. The main requirements are a passion for entrepreneurship, a committment to the club for the entire academic year, and an availability to generally meet on Sundays 2-3pm for board meetings. A day-long workshop facilitated by ProtoHack. ProtoHack exists to show non-coders that they can create something amazing from nothing. They empower and enable the non-technical community with the tools, knowledge and connections that will help bring their idea to life and visually communicate it through prototyping. You’ll learn how to use the best prototyping tools in the industry, network with like-minded people with various backgrounds, become a better product person, and get exclusive access to over $500 worth of tools and goodies for registering.
You do not need a team or an idea; the point is to be an entry-level sampler menu for aspiring entrepreneurs who may not have their perfect idea yet. Are you serious about starting a company post-graduation? Are you graduating this year? Consider applying to Zell Entrepreneurs! This elite program from our friends at ZLI is designed to provide support to students who are preparing to launch their companies upon graduation. The selected students will receive up to $10,000 in support and resources to get their ventures launch ready, through intense mentorship and prototyping the new product or system they intend to introduce to market. Zell Entrepreneurs may also be invited to work with students at other Zell Centers, including locations in Israel and Chicago. Participants will have an opportunity to apply for financial investment in the $10 million Zell Founders Fund. This program is open to students graduating by May 2017. Academic credit is not available for participation in this program. Apply here.

Echoing Green Fellowships provide seed-stage funding and strategic assistance to emerging leaders driving positive social change around the globe. Echoing Green Fellows reject the status quo and drive positive social change around the world. Sage Corps is a global entrepreneurship program that sends top college students ("Fellows") to study abroad and/or intern abroad with startups. The program arms Fellows with immersive and impactful global experience. During the summer/winter quarter, students intern full-time with our partner startups. During a semester, students may study at our partner foreign universities (direct-enroll) and work part-time with our startups. Past Fellows made incredible contributions to their companies, whether it was developing a web/mobile product or a market entry strategy. Learn more.

Handshake is a university recruiting platform available to all UM students. There are a lot of jobs posted there but not on iMpact. For example, after searching for "Product Manager" there were some interesting roles at start-ups that came up targeted towards Masters students. Might be worth checking out if you're still looking for internship/full-time opportunities.
