Brian is a rising second-year MBA originally from the Washington, DC region. Prior to Ross, Brian was a New Sector Alliance fellow with Nonprofit Finance Fund in Boston, and spent 3.5 years with Silicon Valley Bank. At SVB, Brian focused on startup lending as well as corporate VC relationship management. Outside of school, Brian enjoys skiing, golf, cycling, and eating his way through Ann Arbor.
David is a dual degree (MBA & School of Information) student at University of Michigan. He sees technology as a lever to human evolution and hopes to build humane technologies that promote this evolution. Prior to Ross he worked in management consulting with a focus on Digital Innovation. Following this, he worked in product marketing for a leading wearable technology.
Richard is an MBA1 at the Michigan Ross School of Business and is passionate about social impact, civic and community initiatives, and exploring how the private sector can be leveraged to create change within everything from sustainability to DEI. Prior to Ross, Richard spent 1 year as a biology teacher through City Year Chicago as well as 3 years as a social impact consultant at Civic Consulting Alliance working on safety & justice, education, and economic strategy with government clients.
Victoria is a second year MBA/MS student at the Erb Institute. She is interested in the use of policy, strategy and change management to drive impact and advance an organization's broader decarbonization goals. Prior to coming to UM, she worked in energy consulting in Toronto assisting corporate real estate companies with their sustainability reporting and benchmarking. She holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Queen's University and is a LEED Green Associate.
Supreya is 2nd year Erber (dual degree between School of Business and Environment/Sustainability) currently at the School of Environment. She is passionate about creating a sustainable, equitable and just food system, specifically for distribution and accessibility to fresh and healthy food for low income/food insecure communities. Prior to Ross, she spent 5 years working in Technology Consulting at where she held roles both formally and informally in the sustainability space.
From London originally, Joss is a rising second-year MBA student passionate about social impact, sustainability, and all other impact-oriented topics. He has ~5 years of experience in wealth management and private equity (including completing a professional qualification focusing on ESG investing), and previously took 12 months out of his career to undertake volunteering and fundraising across Asia, Africa, the US, and Europe. Last year, he was part of the Board Fellows program at Ross, was a prize winner in a national sustainability-focused case competition, and is also an avid soccer player/fan! Zach comes to the Erb program with a passion for sustainable development and working to create policies that are sustainable and good for businesses. He grew up in Connecticut, and then spent time in Denver, CO and New York, NY after he graduated from Michigan in 2017.
Zach is an avid runner, backpacker, sailer and skier, and is always excited about the next adventure!
Jill (she/her) is a rising second-year MBA originally from the SF Bay Area. Prior to Ross, Jill worked in Los Angeles in the nonprofit sector across a variety of mission areas, including LGBTQ+ youth suicide prevention at The Trevor Project, access to higher education for LGBTQ+ students at Point Foundation, and diversity, equity and inclusion at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Jill is a Consortium member, ROMBA fellow, Forte Fellow and Co-President of Out for Business. Outside of work and school, Jill enjoys cycling, concerts, and spending time with her partner and cats, Sasha Fierce and Miel.
Sammi is an MBA 2 in the Full Time MBA program. Originally from just outside of Raleigh, North Carolina, Sammi studied Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to Ross, Sammi spent the past 5 years working as a Healthcare Consultant supporting hospitals and hospital systems across the U.S. to realize best practice potential. Through the MBA, Sammi will be pivoting into a career in Human Capital Consulting to drive impact by supporting people and learning and leadership development.
Jack is a first-year in the full-time MBA program. Though coming here from San Francisco, DC, and Philadelphia, Jack is originally from Ann Arbor. Interested in the intersection of disruptive business and ethics, Jack hopes to understand how firms build business strategies to have a positive impact on society. Jack spent the last 4 years working in San Francisco on ethics and public policy strategy for self-driving cars and mobility tech. Before that, he worked at the White House and EPA in sustainability and has an educational background in sustainability and economics.
Stefan is a second year OMBA student who resides in upstate NY. He currently helps to run a B-Corp food hub outside of Rochester, NY, and has spent the past 12 years in food system development and food access. Formerly an agricultural volunteer in the US Peace Corps, Stefan is passionate about how agriculture and food policy will continue to evolve to meet the challenges ahead.
