We welcome everyone (both Ross students and partners) to join us for MBW's annual Spring Symposium!
We have a wonderful group of speakers and alumni willing to share their stories and tips for life after Ross!
Breakfast and lunch will also be provided.

Please only register if you plan to attend.

Schedule:

8:30-9 am: Check in and Breakfast from Panera's
-Enjoy bagels, pastries, coffee, and hot chocolate while catching up with others!

9-9:45 am: Keynote by Elizabeth Gillis, Special Advisor at Office of the Secretary of the Navy (MBA ’10)
-Elizabeth will share her career journey including struggles, wins, and how she balanced it with her personal life. She will also share advice that she thinks is helpful for MBA students after graduation.

9:50-10:20 am: Coffee Break Art Activity
-Enjoy a relaxing art activity to stimulate your creativity and take home something fun and cool!

10:30-11:30 am: Body Language Workshop by Soojin Kwon, founder of Talent Peak Advisors (MBA ’99)
-This will be an active workshop where you will get up and learn about body language and how you can use it to your benefit.

11:30-12:15 am: Fireside Chat with Dr. Betty Chu, SVP Chief Medical Officer at Advocate Health (MBA '13)
-This session will be a moderated conversation around Betty's work experience in the medical industry, how she navigated a demanding career while balancing motherhood, leveraged her MBA at each career stage, and any advice Betty has for students as they take the next step post-business school.

12:15-1 pm: Lunch by Ross Catering
-(Please see the end for the menu details.)
-Please reach out ahead of time if you have any questions about the food including dietary restrictions/allergies, so we can follow up with Ross Catering.

1-2 pm: Know your Immigration Rights with Professor David Thronson
- Unpack more about what you can do in case of an encounter with enforcement officers and learn about the impact from potential changes to student and work visas. Come with your questions and learn more about how to maintain your visa status during uncertain times!

2-3 pm: Women's Heath Myth-Busters Panel
-Professionals in the healthcare industry will share health tips focused on women's health for those in their late 20s and early 30s including general health, mental wellbeing, and reproduction. Afterwards, we will open the session to the audience to ask any questions they have.
-Panelists include: Heather Wobbe, Psychiatrist University Hospitals (MBA '04)

3-4 pm: MOMBA & Alumni Panel
-Hear the stories of mothers who handled their MBA, jobs, and children all at the same time and any tips they can share about balancing career growth with expanding your family yet still having a social life.

4-4:30 pm: Swag Bags!
-Pick up your swag bag for a fun assortment of goodies to remember this experience.
-Note: Although this event is open to all Ross students and partners, but swag bags are reserved only for MBW dues-paying members. (There will be a chance to purchase a swag bag at the event for others who attend.)

-Cranberry Parmesan Salad with Mixed Greens, Parmesan, Dried Cranberries, Toasted Walnuts, and White Balsamic Vinaigrette (vegetarian/gluten free)
-Mediterranean Salad with Mixed Greens, Arugula, Cucumber, Tomato, Onion, Olives, Crumbled Feta, and Red Wine Dijon Vinaigrette (vegetarian/gluten free)

-Chef's Choice Starch (vegetarian/gluten free)
-Grilled Chicken with Lemon Thyme Jus (gluten free)
-Butternut Squash Ravioli with Sage Spinach Sauce (vegetarian)
