UPCOMING CLUB EVENTS

Volunteers Needed for Human Capital Week (soon to be renamed)
We are excited to announce that from 2/5-2/7, we will have a series of events and displays focused on sharing with the Ross community what many of us already know about human capital--it is essential for organizations to leverage to deliver on their goals. It will entail:

  • Events: An Introduction to People Analytics, a "Mystery Dinner Night" and testimonials from leaders about smart people leadership
  • Displays Featuring: Human Capital Heroes, HR mythbusting and funny memes
  • Interactive Activities: At the table in Siegle, designed by you!
Interested in helping bring this to life?
  • Then reply to Kashay Sanders (kashayns@umich.edu) to be put on the interest list. Tasks will range in time commitment from 1 hour to 4-5 hours depending on the need. We will reveal the list of tasks once we've assembled an interest list of people who want to help out. Don't worry--being put on the interest list does NOT mean you're locked into volunteering.
  • We could also use some help sourcing ideas from the group for a name other than "Human Capital Week". We are looking for something fun and catchy! If you have ideas, reply back to kashayns@umich.edu with your thoughts.

Everyone else, stay tuned for more details as this exciting week unfolds!

CDO REQUEST
Just over half of the graduating class has completed their employment profile. Heather Byrne is requesting that all MBA2s update their employment profile here by 1/15/2018. Details from her message are below:

1. We want everyone to update their status (if they are still seeking, have an offer, or accepted an offer)
2. We need ALL offers--even if someone didn’t accept that offer
3. We need the details of the offers--just make sure to complete everything. It won’t count if someone just says they have accepted an offer. We need salary, bonus, role, etc.
4. If people are still seeking, we want to help! We have dedicated drop-in hours, job postings that we can share, Job Action Groups, individual coaching, connections to alumni, and more! But, we need to know who is still seeking.

POSITIVE LINKS SPEAKER SERIES
The Positive Links Speaker Series is presented by the Center for Positive Organizations at Michigan Ross. We host these events with leading Positive Organizational scholars to share inspiring and practical research-based strategies for building organizations that are high performing and bring out the best in people. Please see the flyer below for upcoming events.
