Sydney Peters is a first-year MBA student at the Ross School of Business. She is committed to bringing patient experience and human-centered design into healthcare strategy and implementation. At Michigan, Sydney is an active board member for Women Who Launch and the Healthcare and Life Sciences club, and also serves as a team lead for Sling Health. Prior to Ross, she first worked as a healthcare software implementer for Epic, and then on DaVita Kidney Care’s patient experience team, where she developed and launched large-scale strategic initiatives. She has a B.S. in Biology from University of Wisconsin.
Anna Lam is a dual degree MBA + Urban Planning student. She is motivated to employ impact investing as an instrument for bridging divided systems and social needs. Anna believes that innovative finance and cross-sector partnerships can advance equity and sustainability for BIPOC and traditionally underserved communities. Prior to Ross, Anna worked in social research, nonprofit and public social services for individuals without homes, and affordable housing real estate development. At Michigan, Anna sits on the board of Women Who Launch, Asian American Business Association, and Black Business Student Association. She also works as a research assistant with Poverty Solutions.
Emily Strait is a first-year MBA student at University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. She is passionate about bringing emerging technology like Blockchain to Healthcare, with a focus on improving the patient experience. At Michigan, Emily is a Dean’s Fellow and Forte Fellow, serves as the Director of Treks of Women Who Launch, is a Student Ambassador, and is on the board of the Wolverine Wine Club. She is also a member of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Club and the Ross Ski & Snowboard Club. Prior to coming to Ross, Emily worked in strategy consulting at Accenture where she helped launch the Blockchain Strategy and Financial Services practice and helped clients bring Blockchain solutions to market along their digital transformation journey. Emily graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Philosophy, Policy & Law.
Phenix Byrd is a first year MBA student at the Ross School of Business. She previously worked as a Strategy Consultant at Accenture in New York City, where she specialized in helping clients improve their customer experience. She is passionate about understanding the voice of the customer and ensuring that products and services are aligned to customer needs. At Ross, she wants to explore entrepreneurship and is particularly interested in Artificial Intelligence based personal assistant apps. Phenix is excited to serve as a Director of Marketing for Women who Launch. Additionally, she enjoys community building and so sought out opportunities to serve as the Director of Events for Section 2 Class of 2022, Black Business Students Association, and MBA Christian Fellowship. Phenix graduated from Duke University in 2016 with a Bachelors in Public Policy Studies.
Amelia is a second year dual-degree MBA/Masters in Environmental Management student at the Ross School of Business through the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. At Michigan, Amelia serves as the Marketing VP of Women Who Launch, teaches undergraduate students as a Graduate Student Instructor for “Business and the Natural Environment”, and served as an External Collaboration Researcher on the President’s Commission for Carbon Neutrality. During the summer of 2020, Amelia interned at Partners Group Private Equity as a member of the ESG team, where she helped launch the company’s first climate change strategy across asset classes. Before graduate school, Amelia led Corporate Social Responsibility projects at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, and developed McGill University’s 2020 Sustainability Strategy & 2040 Carbon Neutrality Plan. She has a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from McGill University.
Nirali is a second year MBA focusing on finance and strategy. Prior to Ross, she worked in consulting for Accenture supporting procurement/supply chain processes and data transformation for large-scale M&A integration and technology transformation projects.
Nirali holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
