CBCF is registered in the state of Michigan as a non-profit organization. The Community Case Competition (CCC) is one of the Ross School of Business most unique and popular student clubs. CCC matches current Ross students, both BBA and MBA, with local organizations in projects chosen during an application selection process to ensure the most useful combination of needs and capabilities for each project team. CCC requires students to put their business skills to work, even if they don't have prior consulting experience.

As the largest professional club at Ross, our primary goal is to help members develop the skills required for successful consulting careers. We conduct training, hold interview workshops, provide social opportunities with alumni, host case competitions, offer case books for case practice, and much more. While some club members have already spent time doing consulting prior to school, the majority of our members have been working in industry before business school. We understand that some have come to business school with the express intention of moving into consulting, while others have only started thinking about a consulting career - regardless of which category you fall into, the Ross Consulting Club can help you. Our ultimate aim is to increase the number of Ross students who get internships and full-time job offers in consulting.

Three major pillars will compose the foundations of the club's objectives:

1. Recruiting

The FB&A Club aims to facilitate contact between companies and the Ross Community, especially those students seeking job opportunities in the Food, Beverage and Agribusiness industries. Students will form connections with companies interested in on-campus recruiting. In addition, the Club will support students in the recruiting process, providing assistance related to resume creation, mock interviews, and improving industry knowledge (see Education session below).
As part of the network with the industry, the club will seek close relationship with Ross alumni working in the field who can further help the club make connections across the sector and create beneficial partnerships.
Indeed, the FB&A Club desires to be a positive difference on this important step, working to improve the information available to students and expanding their networks within the industry.

The FB&A Club fosters learning at the Ross School of Business about various aspects of the food industry's value chain, with topics ranging from mining and farm inputs, primary production, food processing to food retail. In the various proposed activities, students are able to observe the changes in consumption behavior that has been driving the entire industry. By encompassing business, economic, political, environmental and social issues related to this complex industry, the club aims to provide inspiration and insights into today's global agribusiness marketplace to students, who will be better to succeed in the world's most important sector. In the various proposed events, the club seeks the participation of keynote speakers from the industry and academia.

3. Net Impact

Treks are completely student run, open to all incoming students, and are a great way to meet classmates and start building bonds before you formally start the MBA curriculum.

Treks of 10-20 students catered to a variety of travel interests will cross the globe in mid-August. Whether you enjoy camping in the heart of the wilderness or spending time on the beach in an exotic location, there's a trek for you. Visit a country new to you, explore a different culture, or try something out of your comfort zone. Some trips are action packed, backpacking, and hosteling adventures while others have more of a tropical, laid back feel.

After your trip, you'll head back to Ross with a great group of friends (fellow MBA1 Trekkers) to hang out with in Ann Arbor and mentors (MBA2 Trip Leaders) that can tell you the secrets to making it through your first year.
