Bakare Korodo



As Co-President, Sam co-leads the mission of BBSA to provide high value and impact to its members. Prior to attending Michigan Ross, Sam was a Senior Project Manager in the pharmaceutical industry and will be pivoting into management consulting.




Prior to Ross, Joi worked at the Kresge Foundation Detroit Program grantmaking at the intersection of racial justice and community development. While at Ross Joi is the VP of Wellness on MBA Council, as well as an Applebaum Racial Equity Fellow with the Business+Impact Studio and a founder of her own social venture, finding joi, which aims to provide physical and digital spaces for Black womxn and femme-identifying folks to prioritize their personal joy and well-being in professional and academic spaces. Joi will be pivoting into management consulting, interning with Bain Chicago in summer of 2022.


Chair of Prospective Students


Prior to Ross, Christine got a Masters in Higher Education at Indiana University-Bloomington then transitioned to a career in HR at Boston Scientific for three years. Christine is looking forward to pivoting into strategy consulting at BCG Chicago post-MBA. While at Ross I have gotten involved in: the Ross Bus, Diwali, being a Student Ambassador and of course BBSA. Christine has also developed a real habit out of working out and finding healthy recipes to cook - so if you see any dishes you’d like to try send them her way! I She loves a challenge.


Alfred L. Edwards (ALE) Conference Committee Co-Chair


Yasmin is a first-year MBA student at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. Prior to attending the University of Michigan, Yasmin spent four years working in education by way of Teach for America in Memphis, TN. She taught elementary school math and science for two years in Memphis's Innovation Zone. In 2019 she transitioned to teach high school financial literacy at KIPP Memphis to continue her commitment to improving educational and economic equity. At Ross, Yasmin is involved in the entrepreneurship community through the Social Venture Fund and Entrepreneurship & Venture Club and plans to transition into management consulting post-MBA.


Alfred L. Edwards (ALE) Conference Committee Co-Chair


Kiana is a first-year MBA candidate at the Ross School of Business. She holds director roles for both the Black Business Student Association and Women who Launch. She aspires to land a role in the financial services sector of the venture capital industry. Before business school, Kiana was responsible for the client acquisition, retention, and strategic growth initiatives for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.


Alfred L. Edwards (ALE) Conference Committee Co-Chair


Prior to business school, Nia spent six years working in consulting and the nonprofit industry. She worked across a variety of clients including government agencies and financial institutions. Nia came to Ross to expand her skillset and learn how she can be a positive contributor in the retail space. This summer, Nia will intern with Gap Inc. on the Rewards, Loyalty, and Payments team as a Data and Strategy intern.


VP of Finance


Larry Melton is a full-time MBA student from San Jose, CA. Prior to Ross, Larry worked in educational consulting before transitioning to sports marketing/communications, fundraising and DEI. In addition to BBSA, Larry is involved in Michigan Marketing Club at Ross and is particularly focused on marketing strategy. For his summer internship, Larry will be a marketing intern with Eli Lilly & Company.


VP of Student Affairs


Eugenia is a first-year MBA focusing on finance and strategy. Before Ross, Eugenia worked in the Asset-Based Lending industry as a Field Examiner and Underwriter. At Ross, Eugenia sits on the board of Women Who Launch, Black Business Students Association, African Business Club, Finance Club and Private Equity Club. In addition, she is one of the hosts for the Michigan Ross podcast (Business Beyond Usual) and enjoys conversations related to personal finance, stock picks, self-awareness, and intention.


Director of Corporate Relations


Keisha is an experienced Corporate Finance professional who is pivoting into Management Consulting. She is actively involved with a variety of activities on campus ranging from Section Leadership to MBA Council. She looks forward to being a liaison between BBSA members' dream roles and sponsored companies.


Director of Alumni Relations


Jonathan is originally from Round Rock, Tx. Prior to school, he worked as a media buyer for RLM Media in Chicago, IL. Outside of BBSA, Jonathan is also active in section leadership. Post-school, he intends on going back to Chicago to work for Bain & Company as a management consultant.

Partner Relations Chair


Before joining the Ross community, Danielle worked in the hospitality industry as a Guest Experience Manager for Disney. Danielle then moved back to my hometown L.A. and pivoted to vendor-side market research which further fostered my passion for marketing and brand strategy. Danielle is excited to transition to CPG brand management post-MBA. In addition to BBSA, Danielle is involved with MBA Council, Michigan Marketing Club, and the DEI Committee.


Partner Relations Chair


Presney Blackman is a partner of a '23 MBA student. Inspired by the warm welcome into the Ross Community, Presney wanted to contribute and pay it forward through leadership in BBSA. Currently, Presney is a Global Partner Development Manager at Microsoft working remotely from Ann Arbor. Prior to Ross, Presney was a FTMBA student at Texas McCombs ('21) and alum of Dow Chemical Company. This Summer, Presney will be moving to Chicago for her partner's internship at Boston Consulting Group. Favorite topics of discussion: choosing the right MBA program for you, being a partner in the Ross community, health & fitness, working in Big Tech and living in the Midwest.


Co-Chair of Social Events


Prior to Ross, Messeret was a Human Capital Consultant using data-driven insights to help clients foster more inclusive and engaged workplaces. At Ross, Messeret is invested in understanding how the private sector can be leveraged to drive positive social outcomes. She is passionate about the use of technology to remove barriers to accessing health and wellness resources for all. In addition to her role in BBSA, she serves as Section President, VP of Prospective Students for Africa Business Club, and is a member of the Social Venture Fund, FitX, Net Impact, and the Ross Bus.


Co-Chair of Social Events


Prior to Ross, Lou worked as a tax accountant. Additionally, Lou worked for a start-up doing strategy. As a tax accountant, Lou had a tech start-up client that got him interested in the tech industry, which he will pursue after Ross, specifically PM, PMM, or Internal Strategy.


Chair of Ally Engagement


Prior to Ross, Emma lived in Seattle and worked in human capital consulting, focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is very passionate about health equity and is active in the healthcare community at Ross. In addition to her role in BBSA, Emma is also co-president of the MBA Christian Fellowship. Outside of school, Emma enjoys reading and plant-based cooking.


Chair of Ally Engagement


After receiving a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati, Andrew started work for a manufacturing company, rotating through roles in operations, finance, and accounting. Andrew will be interning in management consulting, and working in the field full time upon graduation. On campus, Andrew is one of the Co-presidents for the Michigan Business Social Association, Head of Video Production for Follies, and VP male allies for MBW.
