We connect U-M students with Detroit’s business, cultural, and social scene through events. Our flagship Detroit Impact Conference brings students and community leaders together to explore the city’s economy and opportunities.
We collaborate with Detroit nonprofits to address local challenges and create meaningful change. Students gain hands-on experience in consulting, project management, and communication while delivering real value to organizations and communities.
Through the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, DIR volunteers mentor Detroit high schoolers. Students learn business skills and get guidance on college applications, building confidence to impact their communities.
